We are in the middle of a strained market, and it is forecasted to last at least through 2009. If you are moving, and need to get your property sold, I have a few recommendations.
- Interview at Least 3 Realtors.
- Make Sure the Realtors are Local, Have Local Lockboxes, and Access to the Williamsburg MLS system.
- Investigate their sales History. This is not the time for a new agent, or an agent who can not afford to market your listing. Ask for a 2-3 year sales history 2006, 2007, 2008.
I feel so strongly about Great Representation, that if you are not sure who to interview, I will give you the names of several, competent, ethical, successful Realtors to interview in your hiring process. It’s that important. If I’m not your first choice, I’d rather that you hire someone whom I know to be a Top Producer as well. This is not the time to take risks.
